Our Paper Stocks:

• 90gsm uncoated placemats - This is a standard weight paper. For reference a standard "home" copy paper is 75-80gsm and so this is similar to the quality of this type of paper. When printing double sided, we recommend selecting a thicker paper stock to prevent the other side 'showing through' - particularly if there is heavy ink coverage on either side
• 120gsm uncoated placemats - This is a good weight of paper and is uncoated for a more matt feel. This paper stock and upwards tends to stock 'show though' that can affect prints onto 80gsm, or 90gsm paper.
• 130gsm gloss/silk placemats - This weight of paper is very popular is the type that is used as standard by takeaway menus. This gives an idea of the quality and weight of this placemat
• 170gsm gloss/silk placemats - This weight of placemat is classed as a very heavyweight paper and gives a more quality feel over that of a 130gsm paper.
• 250gsm uncoated placemats - A 250gsm is a card stock. It is robust and sturdy. The uncoated stock is great for a more matt/recycled feel and is especially good if you need people to write onto the placemat
• 250gsm gloss/silk placemats - A 250gsm gloss or silk card stock is robust and sturdy and it holds the print really nicely.
• 350gsm uncoated placemats - A 350gsm uncoated stock is a really heavyweight placemat. To give you an idea of the weight, this type of card is used for business cards
• 350gsm gloss/silk placemats - A 350gsm gloss or silk placemat is the ultimate in luxury. These card stocks are best used high-end placemats or where you want to make an immediate impression when giving these out.
• 450gsm gloss/silk placemats - Our thickest card available and currently the only card that can be laminated using our machines.

Lamination

We are able to laminate your placemats. This gives an additional layer of protection to the placemat and also they will ooze luxury. Lamination is not to be confused with 'encapsulation' which is when pages are encapsulated in a laminating pouch. The type of lamination used on placemats is thin and will not have any border around the edge of the placemat. So, if you want A5 laminated placemats, they will be A5 in size - not A5 with a little bit extra around them!

Due to the printing process we are currently only able to laminate onto 450gsm silk card

We offer three types of lamination:

• Matt lamination - a classic lamination that gives a high-end and professional finish
• Gloss lamination - a gloss finish to your placemats that really allows your colours to pop!
• Soft-Touch lamination - a velvety finish that has to be touched to be believed.

Artwork Service

Should you require us to design your placemats for you, we are able to do this - just select the relevant option.

Please note that the turnaround time stated gives us three days to get the artwork complete and signed off. If the artwork is not signed off until after three days, this will delay your order beyond the stated turnaround time. We recommend that you provide us with any amendments and/or sign off as quickly as possibly so we can get your job into production as soon as possible.

Please note that we will design your artwork to your specification. You will need to provide us with any relevant logos, pictures, text that you want on your placemat as well as any specific colour or design requirements. We find that we get the best result for everyone when we have a really good brief of what you want. Where information is not given, we will use some artistic license and use our best judgement.

Please note that, artwork charges are VATable. Due to the limitations of our website, your invoice may not split out the VAT on artwork. Should you require a VAT invoice, please email us at accounts@theofficeway.com with a copy of your order number.
